Obituary of Larry David Ginter

Larry David Ginter, 68, husband of Jacqueline 'Jackie' (Spradlin) Ginter, passed away on March 22, 2023, after a short illness. Larry was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 13, 1955.  He was preceded in death by his parents Harrison (Sonny) and Juanita Ginter and a great nephew Clark Thomas Munson.  In addition to his wife of 40 years, Jackie, he is survived by his three sons, Matthew, (Alana) Ginter; David and Wesley Ginter; his sister, Sharon Ginter and brother, Dale (Chauna) Ginter; grandchildren, Keashawnna, Kristen and Kayla Ginter; several nieces and nephews; a great nephew, Olan Munson and a great niece, Reese Munson all of whom he loved dearly.  

Larry was a graduate of Bryan Station High School, class of 1973, a retired truck driver of Sysco Foods and a longtime member of Broadway Christian Church.  He served as vice-president of his Sunday School class, a youth group leader and basketball coach for many years.  

Larry loved WW11 History and Aviation.  He and Jackie were very involved in 18th Century Living History Interpretation.  He was a classic car enthusiast and loved driving his 71 Dodge Dart Swinger to car shows and cruise-ins, especially Parkette.  

He loved to spend time at their farm with family and friends. Many of his hobbies included bee keeping, photography, hunting and fishing. Larry loved hiking and traveling with his wife. He loved watching UK sports and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys with his sons.  Music was a big part of Larrys life; he loved to sing and dance, especially with his wife.

Larry was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.  He made a great impact on the lives of others, loved the Lord with all his heart and had great faith in Jesus.  Larry was a teacher of life for his family and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Larry Ginter will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 6-8pm at Broadway Christian Church. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 29th at 11:30am at Broadway Christian church, with a visitation from 10:30am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, with a celebration of life reception at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY until 5pm.
