Miss Holly has worked with one or both of our granddaughters Lillie and Nina for seven years. We gained an even greater appreciation for her commitment to kids and sense of humor while sitting in on zoom classes during Covid

Holly was the most wonderful friend and work colleague! As the school psychologist for Mary Todd Elementary for the past 2.5 years, I got to work very closely with Holly on a near daily basis. She was one of my favorite friends at MTE, because she had such a great sarcastic wit and sense of humor. She just loved to joke and poke fun at situations. I would show up in silly hats for hat day at school, and I always knew she would roll her eyes at me or say something comical. You just knew when she came down the hallway that you were bound to laugh. But she also took her job as the speech-language pathologist very seriously, working so hard for her students and even helping to research interventions for some of our younger ones. Having worked with so many SLPs over my career, I can say she was among the best of the best. Last week we had such a special moment - we were talking about education services while standing at her office door, only to look over to see the faces of little preschool students peeping through the classroom door window and waving to her. They got so excited when they caught her attention. She seemed a little startled for a second, then cracked a smile and waved back to them. I could see that they just melted her heart. That’s how I will remember my friend, always. Holly, I miss you so much! Hopefully we will meet again one day, and I will have so many stories to tell you then.

To Holly's family: I am the school physical therapist at MTE for the past eight years. I enjoyed Holly's wit and friendship so much! Even if I didn't need to go to 'her' room when I was there, I went each time I was there, she cheered me up immensely. Holly's passing has left a void at school. My condolences on your loss. She will never be forgotten. --Teresa Traut, PT

I have had the pleasure of working with Holly for longer than I can remember. We have shared a classroom for more than 10 years. I could not have asked for a better room mate. She was not only my partner in crime but my best friend. She kept me out of trouble. She loved kids, dogs, crime novels, and life. I will miss her terribly! Until I see you again my friend, love you dearly.
