Obituary of Connie Brown

Connie Brown, 83, widow of James Ladd Brown passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born in Frankfort on July 19, 1939 to the late Raymond and Margaret Parris. Connie worked for the Court of Appeals as a Court Clerk and before her passing, was a member of East Frankfort Baptist Church. She also sang in the choir, played piano and organ for Buck Run Baptist church on Georgetown Road for more than 25 years, where she met her husband of 17 years before his passing in 2014. She loved cooking, owned many cookbooks and was a member of the Frankfort Homemakers club. Connie also loved to sew and was a very good seamstress.

She is survived by her daughters, Jerita (Donald) Colston, Maryland, Angelina (Jamey) Bennett, Frankfort, and Daphne Criscillis (Troy Faria) GA; her son, Eric Bray, Frankfort; her sister, Judy Fisher, Science Hill; her brother, Jim Parris, FL; her grandchildren, Regan (Mike) Satterwhite, Frankfort, Michael (Hanna) Bennett, Frankfort, Parris Criscillis, TN, Thomas Bennett, Lexington, Lee Criscillis II, Bowling Green, Haley Bray, Frankfort, Jessie Colston, Maryland; her great grandchildren, Benny, Lily, Layla and Baker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

In addition to her parents and her husband of 17 years, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Parris. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Jamey Bennett, Donald Colston, Michael Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Lee Criscillis II, and Mike Satterwhite. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
