Obituary of William Wells "Whiz" Latham

Nicholasville - William Wells "Whiz" Latham, 78, passed away on August 6, 2022 in Nicholasville.  Whiz was born in Albany, Kentucky on April 19, 1944 to the late Bill Ed and Georgie Wells Latham. He was retired from IBM and the City of Nicholasville. He apparently did not understand the concept of retirement and kept very busy as “Mr. Fix It” with small construction projects and remodeling houses and he loved to mow yards He is survived by a son, William Scott Latham (Ann Camille), daughter, Jamie Latham Jeffrey (Bill) ,grandchildren: Haleigh Elizabeth , Hannah Kathryn,  Holyn McKinley, Hayden Jeffrey; and Evan Brummette,; brother, Louis Dale, Gene, Gary and Mitch Latham. He also had many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Linda Thomas.  Visitation will be held on August 10, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville from 1:00PM to 3:00PM followed by a funeral service at 3pm. George David Oatts will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Lancaster Elementary School, Physical Education Dept. 205 Lexington Road, Lancaster, KY 40444.
