Obituary of Jose Chavarria

Jose Buenrostro Chavarria, 68, husband of the late Mary Chavarria, passed away on July 18, 2022 in Lexington.  Jose was born in Cojumatlán Michoacán, Mexico on December 12, 1953 to the late Fredrico and Ely Chavarria.  He was a farmhand with Juddmonte Farms for many years and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Jose is survived by children; Matthew (Mandy) Kelley, of Lexington, Rosa (Brian) Thompson, of Versailles, Tony (Tabitha) Chavarria, of Richmond, Jimmy (Wendy) Chavarria, of Lexington, Jennifer (Jeff) Hood, of Lexington, Eric (Nicole) Chavarria, of Nicholasville, Kimberly (Macgregor) Chavarria, of Lexington, Timothy (Natalie) Chavarria, of Lexington, Alex (Sarah) Chavarria, of Lexington, and Cody Chavarria, of Lexington; three sisters; five brothers; twenty-eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents and wife, Jose was preceded in death by his son, Joey Chavarria.

A funeral service for Jose Chavarria will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 7pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing. Visitation will be held from 5pm till time of service.
