Obituary of Jean Stewart

Jean Stewart, 74, wife of James Stewart, was called to be with God on Thursday, April 7, 2022. She was born in Stanton, Kentucky on August 24, 1947 and was a current resident of Nicholasville.  Jean was known for her caring heart, her wonderful hugs and her love for all children. She was a wonderful cook and more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her husband of 50 years, she will be lovingly remembered by her sons, James Stewart, Jr., Nicholasville and Shaun (Susie) Stewart, Lexington; her brother, George (Ann) Helton, Cadiz; and her grandchildren, Zach (Ariel), Christian, Summer, Logan, Jaxon, Weston and Reid. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Claudia Housley Helton, and her children, Georgetta Jarman, Vincent Jarman, and Tony Stewart.  

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Shaun Stewart, James Stewart, Zach Stewart, Christian Stewart, Logan Stewart and Blake Land. **In Lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made in Jean's name to Maggie's Light, LLC.  Maggie's Light is a local non-profit that serves the community by assisting families overcome the grief of losing a child.
