Obituary of Sandy Gayle Yarnell

Sandy Gayle Yarnell 67, widow of Ray Allen Yarnell of Nicholasville, KY went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was born in Lexington, KY to late Kenneth & Mona Haggard on November 1,1954.

In addition to her  parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ray; her infant daughter Melanie Rae and  her nephew Michael Lee. She leaves behind two daughters Christy (Gary) Cairel, Gina (Bryan) Jackson; four grandchildren Devyn & Alex Cairel, Caleb Yarnell & Connor Jackson; one great granddaughter Rhea Gayle (due Jan 2022);two sisters Leann Smith, Janet Wills and so many other loved ones.

Sandy passed of Lung Cancer after being diagnosed 13 days prior at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Sandy was a second mother to many during her years of child care. She put her heart into teaching and loving them as if they were her own. Once she became a Mamaw she blessed her grandchildren & her daughters by teaching & loving them as well.

She loved to spend time with family and friends. She could spend hours playing UNO, Yahtzee, Rook and many other games for hours at a time.

Sandy was truly one of the most selfless, determined, role models, Best Momma, Second Mom, Aunt, Sister, Mother In Law and her personal favorite Mamaw that we all had the privilege to know and love.

Service to be held at Clark Legacy in Nicholasville Tuesday, November 16th Visitation 5pm-7pm Funeral Service to immediately follow visitation at 7:00pm.
