We're thinking today of the many wonderful times we have shared with Debbie and Ken -- the four of us bragging on our kids (we especially enjoyed the stories of David as a little boy, climbing to unimaginable heights); playing Tripoli and Rummikub; eating out after church; talking for hours about anything and everything; hearing Ken's beautiful tenor voice in the choir and madrigal group; and enjoying adventures abroad. Both of us -- especially Dave -- miss Ken now and always will. We offer sincere condolences to Debbie, David and Brittany, Mark and Lindsay, those four adorable grandchildren, Ken's extended family, and his many friends.
Love, Dave and Fran

Worked with Ken when I first started in the KY Migrant Education Program. He was so kind and passionate about the children. He told us once that it wasn’t going to be an easy job, but one we would love and he could promise us that. He was right. Sending love to his family and friends.

At the Migrant Education National Conference in Boston we had a three-on-three basketball tournament. In our first game I got put on Ken. I figured, old guy, sort of slow; this is going to be easy. He went seven-for-ten. Best not to underestimate Ken Ison.
