Obituary of Jean Ham

Jean Ham, 95, wife of the late Carl W. Ham died Thurs.  April 22, 2021 in Lexington, KY. She was born in Andalusia, AL on Oct. 12, 1925 to the late Garland and Molly Bennett.  Jean served the US Army Air Corps during World War II as a civilian secure documents clerk. She earned her BS from Auburn University in 1950 and was awarded her Masters Degree in Home Economics in 1966 while working as the University of Kentucky Fayette County Home Extension agent. Jean retired from civil service as an Extension Service area director in 1981 and subsequently remained active in the community and her church as a member of the Crestwood Christian Church.  She is survived by one son, Robert W. (Doris) Ham, Winchester, KY; two grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Motte and Susan (Roger) Brown both of Glenpool, OK and five great-grandchildren.  A visitation will be from 12pm-1pm on Fri., April 30, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Rd followed by a service at 1pm. Burial to follow at Lexington Cemetery.
