Obituary of John Theodore Praria

John “Ted” Praria Jr., 74, husband of Nell Praria, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born December 1, 1946 to the late John T. and Ruby Powell Praria in Lynch, KY. John was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He retired from Kuhlman Corporation in Versailles.

In addition to his wife Nell, he is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Shelly) Praria, Versailles, Mike Praria (Brandi Richie), Versailles, and Matt (Rebecca) Praria, Versailles; sisters, Cookie (Steve) Eaves, Versailles and Pam (Dixon) Andrews, FL; and his grandchildren, Brad and MacKenzie Praria, Stormie Kai and Skylor Praria, Ashton Richie, Haylie Wilkerson, Gage, Logan, Weston and Wyatt Praria, Olivia and Addison Cooper.

Private Services will be held at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Brother Carl Jones officiating. Private Burial will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Serving as casketbearers will be Jimmy Praria, Mike Praria, Matt Praria, Jason Stewart, Ryan Stewart and Dixon Andrews. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the American Cancer Society.
