Sonja Murrell was the most kind and helpful person I have ever seen. She was my American mom. I always miss her.

Sonja was my American mom. She was the first person I met in USA. She introduced me to the American culture, Bible, and music. I have a PhD in science, and among all the teachers I had, she was the best teacher and mentor. We have celebrated several Christmas and New Years together. She gave my wife and I a candle to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have used the candle to celebrate in the last six years and we will continue to use it for our celebration. She has a special place in our heart and we will always remember her. Knowing Sonja was an honor and blessing. We will miss her, and we pray she may enjoy the presence of God she loved. We would like to also offer our deepest condolences to Sonja’s family, and thank her sister (Janice) for all the care she provided to Sonja during the last six years.
